MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENT
We are currently looking for an applicant to fill the position of Mechanical Superintenent. This position leads the maintenance execution team, including direction-setting, personnel development, oversight of work quality, development and implementation of improvements, and measurements of results. The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible to act as the primary interface for Operations with the maintenance personnel – prioritzing, and scheduling work. Ensure timely paper flow to clients, and corporate office. This position will entail shift work, work outside in all types of weather, as well as very prompt response to emergency conditions.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years journeyman work experience, 2 years as trade lead hand or equivilant.
* Minimum driver classification requirement is a Valid Class 3 with air endorsement
* Must have technical competencies of troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, general computer skills, work planning and estimating
* Ability to effectively supervise assigned work projects and/or activities involving combined resources of manpower, materials and supplies
* Ability to carry out related supervisory functions proficiently, under the direction of management personnel
* Must hold and maintain WHMIS certification and Level 1 First Aid

SENIOR ROAD FOREMAN
We are currently looking for an applicant to fill the position of Senior Road Foreman.
Specialized Abilities and Skills:
*Effectively supervise work projects and/or activities involving combined resources of manpower, equipment, materials and supplies
*Ability to meet defined production standards, quotas and costs through organization, scheduling and utilization of available resources
*Ability to communicate with and direct employees in the designated work group, particularly for work and/or job assignments
*Ability to deal effectively with other employees, supervisors, administrators, management personnel and the general public and suppliers regarding work projects and/or requirements
*Ability to carry out related supervisory functions proficiently
The successful applicant must:
-Hold a requisite valid Dirver’s License for the equipment normally operated
-Must hold and maintain flagging certification, WHMIS certification and Level 1 First Aid Certification
-Must have a good working knowledge of highways maintenance standards
-Must have an awareness of envirornmental issues as it relates to highways and bridge maintenance

WINTER OPERATORS
Nechako Northcoast Construction is seeking applications for winter equipment operators in the Terrace, Kitimat and Nass Valley areas. Applicants are required to provide an ICBC clean driver’s abstract wtih submitted applications.
The minimum driver classification required is a Class 3 with air brake endorsement – Class 1 preferred.
Applicants must have a current Level 1 First Aid and WHMIS. A traffic control ticket would be preferred.
Applicants must be physically fit and able to work outside in all weather conditions.
